If you're visiting us for the first time, you and your family can look forward to a warm welcome at Brunswick Holistic Dental Centre! We want your visit to be a positive experience, so we recommend reading a little about our dental clinic so you know what to expect.
During your first appointment at Brunswick Holistic Dental Centre, you'll be introduced to your dentist who will assess your medical and dental history and ask about any problems you may be experiencing and what your goals are (if any) from dental treatment.
We will then carry out a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums and surrounding structures to get a current snapshot of your oral health. This normally involves taking an x-ray to give us a closer look inside your teeth and may also involve other photos or study models.
During your visit, one of our hygienists will also professionally clean and scale your teeth to remove any plaque that may have built up and apply a fluoride treatment to help protect your teeth from further plaque and decay.
If we find signs of a problem during your examination, we will discuss your treatment options and work with you to develop your personalised treatment plan.
If you're a new patient at our clinic, please take the time to download and complete this form and bring it along to save time during your appointment.
We know that many people feel nervous or anxious about visiting the dentist. Our caring team will do everything we can to help you to relax and feel calm during your visit so you can get the dental care you need.
While your dentist is examining or treating your mouth, feel free to enjoy our in-chair entertainment to take your mind off it. You can bring along your favourite DVDs or CDs or browse our entertainment channels.
We provide painless dentistry for all treatments using local anaesthesia to numb the mouth. If you need extra pain relief or you want help to stay calm, we can provide other sedation options on request, including nitrous oxide ('happy gas').
We request that all payments are made on the day of your treatment, but we offer a range of finance options to help you manage your treatment costs.
We accept all health funds and use HICAPS processing to make a claim with your insurer on your behalf. Please check what dental services your health insurance covers so you know whether you'll have any out-of-pocket costs.
If you need a little help with your dental costs, we offer flexible payment plans through trusted providers to help you break down your bill into more manageable instalments.
If your children are under 18 and you receive an eligible Medicare payment, they may be covered for up to $1000 of free dental services over a 2-year period through the government's Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Check your eligibility here.
